Rose De Mai is a vibrant, exhilarating and intoxicating floral unisex fragrance launched in 2019 by the Monaco-based niche perfume brand Perris Monte Carlo. The perfume is conceived as a reflection of the history and unique perfumery traditions of Grasse, which is the cradle of French perfumery. When creating the aromatic composition, perfumer Jean-Claude Ellena made the scent of the famous May rose, a kind of Grasse business card, as the central aromatic note. This selection was inspired by a childhood spent in Grasse, among the scents of jasmine and roses.
Among all the flowers, the rose is unique and today there are many varieties, each of which has its own aromatic nuances. Rose aromas can be light, sublime, fresh, seductive, soft, and erotic when mixed with patchouli and musk.
The delicate and sophisticated silky-spicy aroma of May rose begins the sound of an aromatic composition, in a hearty accord it becomes denser and more intense and acquires spicy-honey tints. Light spicy-peppery shades of geranium and sweet-spicy tones of immortelle give the central chord a special depth and brightness of sound.
