Calypso by Robert Piguet is a new version of the original late 1950s fragrance of the same name. Composing his new formula, perfumer Aurelien Guichard not only paid tribute to the ancient character of the perfume, but also managed to give it a modern sound.
The opening of the fragrance is a fresh mix of geranium and mandarin. This intro is so short that the main part of the sound seems to start immediately. You feel the warm notes of amber and patchouli covered in shade. Weaved in an invisible veil around the rose, it gently dissolves into powdery dust.
This fragrance is very shy but stays on the skin for a long time. You will never disturb anyone around with its smell. While loud divas dance in the middle of the room, Calypso, the ideal of shy beauty, sits in a corner and hides in a leather chair. Gorgeous, she is not yet aware of her sensuality. She needs time.
